NISM for Constant-on-Time (COT) topology buck converters

Hello, I have been looking into different measurement methods on how to verify the stability of the control loop of COT buck converters. Traditional methods like bode-plots don't really work because of the inherent non-linearity. Is NISM effective at obtaining the phase margin for COT devices?

Yes, NISM does work for COT converters, where Bode plots don’t. MPS suggests using step load instead. Step load measures the same thing as NISM (output impedance) but with much higher fidelity and a transform back to stability margin. Please let us know if there are any follow up questions. Thank you!
